Random Things I Can't Tell Regular People

Freshly shaven

My husband and I had quite a time in the tub last night. We had discussed recently about shaving my pubic hair and last night was the night to do it. I was a little tired after my day at work, my husband was a little randy... what better than a soak in the tub and him working studiously at my crotch? I've tried this before with, well, not-so-hot results. It was painful and itchy and I got little red bumps that weren't all that attractive - no to mention I felt like a little girl and not the sexy woman I want to be. But last night was a success!

I suppose my husband wields a razor better than I, because this time I had virtually no stinging and this morning, no red bumps. I could see his admiration, which was a nice turn on, and made it feel much more erotic. It lead (inevitably) to the bedroom where I got oral, which my husband said was delicious.

Pros:
- easy access, baby!
- something new, something fun
- shaving cream feels divine
- seeing my own pussy, and having it seen
- easy access
- another "together" activity (where he stares long and hard between my legs)
- did I mention the easy access?

Cons:
- stubble
- potential for razor burn
- feelings of vulnerability

I think I'm going to try and upkeep it for a while. Housewyfe, I think I read that you shave, don't you? Any hints? Anyone else out there with some suggestions?

Good morning. Yes, I just shaved for the first time a few weeks ago. I think the use of shaving cream may have caused my yeast infection that followed (yuck). I'm really sensitive to soaps etc but I seem to have mastered my technique now. I do it in the shower. I get the area (water) wet and warm. I use a bit of soap on my hand and lather the area. I can shave it now with a disposable razor without even having to look. and it just takes a minute.
I find it really sexy to see myself this way (bare). Cons (agreed): it has to be done daily to keep the stubble away. But I love the smoothness and how clean I feel. I stopped getting those red bumps when I made sure to shave only with the grain. Hope this helps. It's probably a bit different for everyone. Enjoy!--not that you need my prompting. LOL.

Hi there, found your blog just by browsing. I've been shaving for about 7 years now. It actually drives me nuts to have any hair down there, because the itching and discomfort that occurs for the two weeks or so that it takes to let it grow back out is unbearable for me. On average, the stubble should be minimal for about two or three days. After that, it's a royal pain. I don't recommend soap or shaving cream once you are maintaining an already shaved area, simply soaking in a warm or hot bathtub for 5-10 minutes first works much better than using anything else.

Another thing-have you heard of a Brazillian wax? I've only had it done a few times, but basically they wax *at most salons or dayspas* everything from the waist to below the buttocks, completely bald. It's a bit painful the first time, but with waxing, the results last for nearly 2 months before any growback. Much better than razorburn. It's about $50, but well worth it for the lack of maintainence requred...

Me + Shaving = BAD NEWS. I have tried everything. EVERYTHING. I always, always, ALWAYS end up with bumps. Housewyfe, how in the WORLD do you shave with the growth but still end up smooth?? If I shave with the growth it will LOOK smooth, but all you have to do is touch it and it's very scratchy. Hubs hates it like this because it's prickly while he's against me. The whole labia area is very smooth and no bumps show up there, but on top, around my panty line, it's HORRIBLE. I mean HORRIBLE. Maybe my skin is just too sensitive, I don't know. But I DO know that I am DONNNNNEEE shaving. Trimming I will do, to keep it short, but I'm NOT shaving anymore. I've been thinking of getting one of those Body Bare electric razors, apparantly it works very well and will prevent the bumps, so we'll see.
If I get it and I like it, I'll let you know! : )

ps~ Hubs wants to shave me, and he wants me to shave him, but until we get a sperm sample saved for emergency purposes, I'm afraid to get my hands down there with a razor! :P

I suggest the Bikini Zone medicated creme... helps with itching and no bumps... but don't apply before any action.

I LOVE being shaved.

Wow! What usefule tips. Housewyfe, with the grain is definitely key, I think. I had considered waxing... maybe someday I'll take the plunge. Tajalude, honestly, that's what I said last time. Seems I have a short memory.

Tried Bikini Zone. Bumpsbumpsbumpsbumps. What am I doing wrong??? I don't want to be bare, just trimmed and smooth on the sides... I mean I. Have. Done. EVERYTHING.
Still, HOW can it ever be smooth with the growth???

I use to shave every once in a great while. It was never a good thing. OUCH!
